General Project Description

The Acton-Agua Dulce School District is seeking proposals for a Wide Area Network (WAN) and Internet Access with Bundled Firewall Services. The project consists of two parts: Part 1 involves maintaining the District's fiber-optic WAN between its various sites, currently at 10Gbps Full Duplex with an option to upgrade to 20Gbps. Part 2 entails providing 10Gbps (scalable to 20Gbps) internet access connection with bundled firewall services to the District's data center at 32248 N. Crown Valley Road, Acton, CA 93510. The firewall services must be E-Rate eligible, capable of processing inbound/outbound traffic at a minimum of 10Gbps, and include functionalities such as NAT, ACL, and BGP. Proposals must include installation and monthly ongoing costs for all connections and sites. Vendors must ensure high network availability (99.5% or better, 99.5% packet delivery, and 99.95% telecommunication service availability with maximum 30ms latency) and provide all necessary connectivity equipment with included repair maintenance at no cost to the District. A mandatory detailed transition plan and staff training plan are also required.
