General Project Description

The City of Anaheim Department of Public Utilities and Public Works is soliciting Design-Build Entities (DBE) for the design and construction of the Santa Ana Canyon Road Water Main Extension Project. This project involves installing new 20-inch steel and ductile iron water mains on Santa Ana Canyon Road and Gypsum Canyon Road in Anaheim to connect the existing water distribution system to a proposed private development. The scope includes obtaining various permits (ROW, Traffic Control), potentially using trenchless construction methods, coordinating utility undergrounding (power lines), conducting third-party soil and pavement testing, corrosivity testing, hydrostatic testing, and disinfection of new main infrastructure, and implementing Best Management Practices (BMPs) for stormwater management. The Design-Builder will be responsible for all planning, engineering, procurement, permitting, construction, quality control/assurance, installation, start-up, and testing.
