General Project Description

The City of Anaheim is seeking a qualified consultant to provide comprehensive civil engineering design services for the Anaheim West Tower Bollards project. This project aims to enhance emergency management capabilities by strategically placing bollards around the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) at 201 S. Anaheim Boulevard. The consultant's scope includes project coordination, field review, utility research and coordination (including GPR/potholing), topographic surveys, design of multiple bollard alignments with structural calculations (K rating), concrete replacements for decorative sidewalks and curb ramps, potential tree replacements, traffic control plans, and the preparation of Final Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E). Additional services involve design alternatives analysis, recommendations for frontage improvements, project management, records research, obtaining necessary permits (building, right-of-way, traffic control), and providing ongoing support during the bid and construction phases. The design work will incorporate elements compliant with FEMA funding requirements and Public Works standards, including storm water pollution prevention.
