General Project Description

The City of Antioch is soliciting qualifications from experienced material testing and special inspection firms to provide "as-needed" services for development projects throughout the City over a three-year period. The scope includes both laboratory and field testing and inspection of various construction materials, such as soil, aggregate, asphalt concrete, Portland cement concrete, and reinforcing steel. All inspections, sampling, and testing must adhere to methods approved by ASTM, Caltrans, or other appropriate agency standards. Firms are required to be available on short notice (within 12 hours), including holidays, weekends, and extended hours. Test results must be submitted to the City within 24 hours of completion, and full project reports within 30 days of the last day worked on a project.
