General Project Description
This Request for Proposals (RFP) is for comprehensive professional citywide landscape maintenance services within the City of Artesia. The project encompasses all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary for maintaining various green spaces and landscaped areas, including public rights-of-way, medians, parks, and city-operated facilities across multiple locations. Key responsibilities include: weeding (mechanical and chemical), fertilizing, shrub and groundcover trimming/pruning, irrigation system programming, monitoring, maintenance, and repair, general pesticide management (for rodents, insects, and diseases), mowing, verticutting, aerifying, raking, dethatching, general litter control, refuse removal, debris removal, grounds policing, and hardscape cleaning. The contractor is also responsible for turf renovation (aerating, verticutting, thatch removal, overseeding) and ensuring compliance with stormwater Best Management Practices and all applicable labor and environmental regulations.
