Unofficial Notice of Invitation to Bid (NIB)

Bakersfield City is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, Construction of Basin 1 to 9 Turnout, identified under Solicitation ID: 26WDWR01. Work is to be performed near 1000 Buena Vista Rd, Bakersfield, CA 93311, USA in Kern County.

General Project Description

The project involves the construction of a new turnout structure for Basins 1 to 9 in a dry canal bed. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the removal of existing pipe culverts, construction of a new reinforced concrete structure with wingwalls, furnishing and installing slide gates, trash screen racks, miscellaneous metals (bar gratings, handrails, guard posts, guard rails), and reconstruction of river channeling. This encompasses excavation, backfill, compaction, placement of rock slope protection on channel slopes and river invert, excavation and canal grading, earthen embankments, and all other incidental items necessary for the complete construction and verified operation of the new turnout structure, including environmental compliances.
