General Project Description

The project seeks proposals for Wide Area Network (WAN) Digital Transmission Services for the Barstow Unified School District, supported by E-Rate Funding Year 2026. The scope includes providing 10 Gbps WAN services with a minimum single dedicated Class C external IP range, maintaining an internal routing scheme, and establishing point-to-point connections from each site (BUSD Maintenance/FMO and Central High School) back to the Central Support Services building or via Private Transparent LAN. The contract must include options for growth (increased bandwidth, additional locations) and site removal without early termination penalties. All necessary equipment must be provided, remain property of the vendor, and be under full repair maintenance at no cost to BUSD for the life of the agreement. A comprehensive transition plan is required for the cut-over to a new carrier by July 2, 2026.
