General Project Description
This project involves Spanish clay tile roof repairs and system upgrades across three elementary school sites for the Beaumont Unified School District. The work includes carefully removing and storing existing clay roof tiles, installing a fully adhered Ice and Water Shield membrane over the entire roof deck, installing new roof metals and flashings, correcting tile overlap deficiencies, eliminating internal rain gutter systems, modifying skylight curbs, and reinstalling the clay tile roofing system in compliance with current California Building Code requirements. The District's intent is to establish a fully waterproofed underlayment system and eliminate internal gutter drainage. The project also includes repair of roof sheathing, replacing broken/damaged tiles, and ensuring compliance with manufacturer waterproofing specifications and building codes for skylights and tile installation. Cleanup and site safety provisions are also part of the scope.
