General Project Description

This project involves the comprehensive demolition and site clearance of two buildings (main residence and detached garage) and a storage shed located at 6303 Pine Avenue, Bell, CA. The scope includes pre-demolition hazardous material abatement (asbestos, lead-based paint, etc.), complete demolition of structures, foundations, and slabs, removal of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, and on-site and underground utilities. The work also includes removal of vegetation and landscaping, backfill and compaction of excavated areas with approved soil or base material, grading the site to match adjacent existing grades, and proper haul-away and disposal of all demolished materials. The contractor is responsible for installing temporary construction fencing and barriers to separate the work site, implementing a dust control program, and coordinating with Southern California Edison, Southern California Gas Company, Golden State Water Company, and City of Bell for utility disconnections and removals, including sewer laterals. All work must conform to the 2024 Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction (SSPWC) and all applicable laws and regulations.

Backfill, compact excavated areas for removal of foundations, backfill, compaction and grading of work site, haul-away and proper disposal of all demolished and removed materials and complete cleanup of the work area.
