Bell City is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, James George Bell House Building Exterior Repairs and Painting Project, identified under Solicitation ID: PW25-003. Work is to be performed near 4401 E Gage Ave, Bell, CA 90201, USA in Los Angeles County.

General Project Description

This project involves the exterior rehabilitation of the James George Bell building. The work scope includes the abatement of lead-based paint using chemical methods, removal and replacement of all exterior dry rot wood elements (such as redwood shiplap siding, skirt siding, balusters, handrails, posts, trim, moldings, and the wood staircase), and removal and replacement of damaged slip-resistant cover, plywood, and flashing on the porch open area. It also requires the removal of the existing stucco staircase on the north elevation and its replacement to match the existing wood staircase on the south elevation. Comprehensive exterior painting of the entire building, including all treated wood and metal components, is required after surface preparation, cleaning, patching, sanding, filling, and leveling. Overall tasks involve lead paint abatement, rough and finish carpentry, stucco work, roofing repair (shingles and flashing), and joint sealants/caulking.

  • Quantity: 1  Unit: LS  Work Item: Exterior building painting, including preparing, cleaning, patching, sanding, filling, leveling, and painting all exterior surfaces including redwood shiplap siding, skirt siding, wood doors, door jambs, ceilings, exterior wood trims, overhangs, eaves, window sills and jambs, wood handrails and balusters, wood porch columns bases and columns, roof flashing, roof wood ridge cap and finials, metal street lamp light fixtures, and metal fence balusters and rails.
