Berkeley City is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation and Replacement - San Pablo Avenue, Sacramento Street, University Avenue, et al., identified under Solicitation ID: 26-11759-C. Work is to be performed near 1947 Center St 4th floor, Berkeley, CA 94704, USA in Alameda County.

General Project Description

This project involves the comprehensive rehabilitation and replacement of sanitary sewers throughout various locations in Berkeley. The scope includes point repairs, Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) lining, pipe-bursting, and traditional open-trench methods for sanitary sewer pipes ranging from 4-inch to 24-inch in diameter. The project also entails the reconstruction of lower laterals with two-way cleanouts, installation of two-way cleanouts and lateral risers, connection of active laterals, and the removal and construction/rehabilitation of maintenance holes. Additional work covers traffic control, pre- and post-construction CCTV inspection, construction staking, site restoration (curb, gutter, sidewalk, driveway, pavement, landscaping), utility potholing, monument reconstruction/replacement, sewer bypass operations for larger mains, point repairs including root removal, plug and abandonment of existing sewer infrastructure, cold planing and hot mix asphalt resurfacing, pressure testing of sanitary sewer lines, leak isolation, and compliance with stormwater pollution control and sewage spill prevention requirements.
