Unofficial Notice of Invitation to Bid (NIB)

Bishop City is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, WEST LINE STREET WATER MAIN, identified under Solicitation ID: 26-PW-01. Work is to be performed near 377 W Line St, Bishop, CA 93514, USA in Inyo County.

General Project Description

This project, Contract No. 26-PW-01, involves replacing approximately 2,025 linear feet of existing 8-inch steel water main along State Route 168, specifically between Home Street and Main Street, with a new 12-inch pipeline. The new pipeline will be installed at an increased depth to mitigate utility conflicts and enhance protection. The scope includes installing new water laterals, meters, and all associated fittings and appurtenances. Additionally, new isolation valves will be installed on the existing 12-inch main west of the project area, from the Home Street intersection towards Well 4, to comply with AWWA valve-spacing standards and support future system connections. The project is located within the State right-of-way and is subject to Caltrans encroachment permit requirements, involving significant civil engineering tasks, utility installation, and pavement restoration.
