General Project Description
The County of Butte is seeking professional services for comprehensive fire alarm monitoring and communication upgrades across its owned and leased facilities. This project aims to ensure continuous system functionality, compliance with all applicable fire codes (NFPA 72, NFPA 1221, UL 827, California State Fire Marshal requirements), and prompt response to alarm events. The successful contractor will be responsible for providing UL-listed 24/7/365 central station monitoring, furnishing and installing UL-864 listed cellular fire alarm communicators to replace outdated technologies, and configuring/testing these communicators. The scope also includes coordinating with County IT and Facilities Management, decommissioning old hardware, providing detailed monthly performance reports, and supporting annual fire alarm system testing and inspections.
