General Project Description

The County of Butte is seeking proposals for professional construction management and inspection services to repair Oro-Quincy Highway at Post Mile 12.2. This project addresses the failure of a mechanically stabilized earth wall (MSEW) and adjacent roadway due to atmospheric river storm events on January 4, 2023. The work, delivered under the FHWA Emergency Relief (ER) program, includes removal of the failed MSEW and appurtenances, installation of temporary shoring, construction of new drainage facilities, reconstruction of a new MSEW, and repaving and restoration of the affected roadway and guardrail systems. The selected consultant will provide resident engineering services, project coordination, quality assurance, documentation management, and construction inspection, adhering to Caltrans and FHWA standards.
