Butte County is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, Countywide IS Communication Tower Microwave Replacement, identified under Solicitation ID: 71-26. Work is to be performed near 2445 Carmichael Dr, Chico, CA 95928, USA in Butte County.

General Project Description

This project involves the Countywide IS Communication Tower Microwave Replacement, where the Contractor will provide a turnkey microwave backhaul solution. The scope includes the procurement, engineering, installation, testing, and commissioning of six (6) new point-to-point microwave radio systems and associated components at four (4) County-owned communication towers: Chico, Bloomer, Oaks, and BCSO. The work replaces existing end-of-life microwave equipment to maintain reliable communications. Contractor responsibilities include microwave path engineering, FCC licensing, frequency coordination, installation of antennas (approx. 100 ft AGL) and radios (in equipment vaults), physical labor, materials, rigging, tower climbing, removal and disposal of existing equipment, end-to-end testing, commissioning, documentation (engineering reports, as-built, inventory), and training for County personnel. All work must comply with applicable FCC regulations, industry standards, and OSHA requirements.
