General Project Description

The project involves the installation, connection, and activation of a fully functional Fire Alarm System (FAS) at Salinas Valley State Prison (SVSP). The Contractor shall provide all labor, design, engineering, equipment, parts, materials, programming, tools, installation, supervision, inspection, training, licenses, permits, insurance, bonds, travel, and per diem. The scope includes replacing existing FAS in Building 423 (Facility A Diner) and Building 433 (Facility B Diner) with new Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACPs) and associated components such as conduits, wiring, heat sensors, strobes, smoke detectors, flow sensors, valve switches, and door closer switches. Services performed are subject to CDCR and Office of State Fire Marshal (OSFM) requirements, including testing, acceptance, and staff training on operation and maintenance of the new FAS.
