Unofficial Notice of Invitation to Bid (NIB)

California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, Siskiyou Unit Headquarters Electrical Panel Upgrade, identified under Solicitation ID: 2CA07656. Work is to be performed near 1809 Fairlane Rd, Yreka, CA 96097, USA in Siskiyou County.

General Project Description

The project involves the repair and replacement of the existing electrical system at the CAL FIRE Siskiyou Unit (SKU) Headquarters and Fire Station. The contractor is responsible for providing all necessary materials, labor, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, and fees. Key tasks include electrical panel upgrade work in compliance with Attachment 3 (Plans), repairing or replacing damaged conduit or wiring, performing all necessary testing and certification for proper system operation, and complete cleanup, removal, and disposal of all debris from the worksite in accordance with regulations. The work must be completed within one year from the scheduled start date, weather permitting.

  • Quantity: 1  Unit: LS  Work Item: Make all connections to ground rods and grid, etc., with U.L. approved welded connections, unless noted otherwise.
  • Quantity: 1  Unit: LS  Work Item: Dedicated circuits shall possess an equipment grounding conductor (Green Insulated Copper) and a dedicated grounded (Neutral) conductor (White Insulated Copper), sized per 215.2(A)(2) for feeders and 250.24(C)(1) for service.
  • Quantity: 1  Unit: LS  Work Item: Install disconnect switches sized per NEC, horse power rated, heavy duty type, with means for padlocking in the open position and interlock on cover to prevent opening when switch is "ON".
  • Quantity: 1  Unit: LS  Work Item: Provide potable water, power, eye wash, hand wash, and restroom facilities for workers.
  • Quantity: 1  Unit: LS  Work Item: Conduct a final walkthrough with the California State Fire Marshal and CAL FIRE Project Representative.
