General Project Description

The project involves providing all materials, labor, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, and fees for the procurement and installation of electrical equipment at the CAL FIRE Weed Fire Station in the Shasta-Trinity Unit (SHU). The scope includes completing electrical upgrades, specifically an electrical service upgrade, installing a new meter main, a new 400A main panel, a new automatic transfer switch, and a new feeder to the barracks. This entails replacing an existing 200A Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) with a 400A ATS (Cummins or equivalent), coordinating a new overhead service feed with Pacific Power, routing a new underground feed (crossing underneath existing rock walls without damage), and ensuring all work complies with current codes and regulations, industry standards, and specifications as depicted in the plans.
