California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, 25-245 - Parking Lot Seal and Stripe Services at the Corte Madera DMV Field Office, identified under Solicitation ID: 25-245. Work is to be performed near 2415 1st Ave, Sacramento, CA 95818, USA in Sacramento County.
General Project Description
This project entails providing parking lot seal and stripe services at the Corte Madera DMV Field Office. The scope of work includes cleaning asphalt surfaces, minor asphalt repairs, oil removal, crack filling with rubberized filler, applying asphalt seal coat, replacing and reinstalling concrete wheel stops, repainting existing curbs, arrows, and symbols, and restriping parking spaces and lines. It also covers the removal and replacement of damaged asphalt and concrete curbs, painting handicapped parking stalls, blacking out old striping, and applying sand to curbing paint for slip prevention. All work must be performed after DMV business hours or on weekends/holidays unless otherwise approved.

Specifications: Apply two (2) or more coats of emulsion; mix with portable power mixer or tank-type equipment; apply by squeegees for spreading; cure for no less than two (2) hours; weather limitations apply (no fog, rain threatens, or temp above 90 F° unless pavement pre-wetted).

Specifications: Clean surface of loose dirt, dust, sand, and foreign matter by power sweeping or high-pressure water wash; clean oil spots by scraping, burning, or detergent, then prime with shellac-type material and broadcast drying sand.

Specifications: Paint concrete curbs with color indicated on drawings using latex emulsion water base paint meeting State of California specifications; paint arrows and other traffic symbols using standard Caltrans stencils; incorporate glass beads into all arrows and motorcycle skill test areas per Caltrans specification 8010-21C-22 - Type II.

Specifications: Precast, steel-reinforced, air-entrained concrete, 4000-psi minimum compressive strength, 4-1/2" to 5" high, 8" to 9" wide, 47" to 48" long, chamfered corners, transverse drainage slots, minimum two (2) factory-formed/drilled vertical holes. Mounting Hardware: Galvanized-steel spike or dowel, 1/2" diameter, 10" minimum length. Adhesive: As recommended by manufacturer.
