General Project Description

This project involves providing telecommunications network cabling, related electrical services, and associated hardware installation for a long-term DMV office facility renovation project at the Sacramento DMV Headquarters, Building East (4th Floor). The scope encompasses general electrical work, including removal of existing electrical wiring and circuits, installation of regular and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) branch circuit wiring, wire and conduit installation, electrical panel modifications, and concrete work for penetrations. The telecommunications work includes removal of existing cabling, installation of Category-6e plenum rated data cables, connectors, and jacks, cable management systems, testing and verification of all installed cabling, and the provision and installation of various communication room equipment such as data racks, patch panels, power distribution units, and cable management accessories. All work must adhere to national, state, and local electrical and building codes and industry standards.
