General Project Description

This project is for providing property sweeping and pressure washing services at the Grass Valley DMV Field Office for a 36-month term. The scope includes weekly property sweeping of all paved surfaces accessible to motor vehicles (parking lots, driveways, skills test areas, gated vehicle enclosure areas), corners, around waste receptacles, dumpster enclosures, sidewalks, walkways, doorway/entryway areas, alcoves, and under/around trees/shrubs. Sweeping requires truck-mounted equipment and includes oil spill removal with environmentally safe absorbent and debris removal from drains. Quarterly pressure washing services are required for similar paved surfaces, dumpster enclosures, sidewalks, walkways, curbs, carport structures, overhangs, eaves, columns, benches, waste/ash receptacles, building walls, and patio areas, using appropriate PSI and preventing streaking on windows/glass. All collected trash and debris must be hauled away and disposed of offsite.

General Bid Items

Quantity: 1 Unit: Per Week Work Item: Property Sweeping Services. Specifications: Perform during non-DMV business hours, one (1) time per week on Sunday between 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. the following business day, or during hours in compliance with city ordinance code, except on state holidays. Utilize truck-mounted equipment (trailer-mounted equipment not allowed). Remove oil spills from paved surfaces accessible to motor vehicles using environmentally safe oil absorbent and properly pick up/dispose of absorbent. Remove debris from all drains. Manually pick up trash and debris in areas where mechanical equipment cannot be utilized. Haul away and dispose of all trash and debris offsite. Areas include: all paved surfaces accessible to motor vehicles (parking lots, driveways, skills test areas, gated vehicle enclosure areas), all corners, behind wheel stops/parking blocks, around waste/ash receptacles, inside/outside dumpster enclosures, sidewalks/walkways (within/next to parking lots/driveways and adjacent to/surrounding buildings/structures), doorway/entryway areas, alcoves, under/around trees/shrubs (where paved surfaces are adjacent to property borders), and patio area. Exclude blowing, sweeping, pushing, or otherwise moving trash/debris into drains, landscape areas, plants, flowerbeds, public walkways, streets, or adjacent properties.
Quantity: 1 Unit: Per Quarter Work Item: Property Pressure Washing Services. Specifications: Perform during non-DMV business hours, first (1st) weekend of each quarter (in the months of March, June, September, and December) between 12:00 a.m. Saturday to 6:00 a.m. Monday, or during hours in compliance with city ordinance code, except on state holidays. Utilize own water source and appropriate Pounds Per Square Inch (PSI) to not damage surfaces. Immediately wipe off any water/cleaning solution sprayed onto windows, doors, glass, or surrounding areas to prevent streaking/spotting. Haul away and dispose of all trash and debris offsite. Areas include: paved surfaces accessible to motor vehicles (parking lots, driveways, skills test areas, gated vehicle enclosure areas), inside/outside dumpster enclosures, sidewalks/walkways/curbs (within/next to parking lots/driveways and adjacent to/surrounding buildings/structures), doorway/entryway areas, carport structures, alcoves, overhangs/eaves/columns, benches, waste/ash receptacles, building walls, and patio area. Exclude blowing, sweeping, pushing, or otherwise moving trash/debris into drains, landscape areas, plants, flowerbeds, public walkways, streets, or adjacent properties.
