General Project Description

This public works project by the Department of State Hospitals (DSH) – Patton involves the comprehensive removal, demolition, and recycling of 14 modular trailer units (including types 70-A, B, C, U-mod, 30 A mod, and N D mod). The contractor is responsible for providing all necessary materials, equipment, labor, transportation, licenses, permits, insurance, and bonds. Key tasks include complete demolition of the office structures, segregation of salvageable materials for recycling, transport and disposal of all recyclable materials to approved construction and demolition (C&D) recycling facilities, removal of associated stairs, awnings, and metal/steel components, dust control measures (using a water truck), and thorough cleanup of the work site, including trash disposal and transportation. The project is limited to DGS-certified Small Business, Micro Business, Small Business, and Public Works/Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises, and requires compliance with prevailing wage laws.
