General Project Description
The California Department of Veterans Affairs (CalVet) is seeking certified Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBEs) to provide palm and tree trimming services at the Veterans Home in Chula Vista, CA. The services include all necessary labor, materials, staff, transportation, licenses, permits, and other expenses for routine maintenance, tree trimming, and tree safety inspections. The contractor is responsible for removing all debris and trimmings from the site, including sidewalks, driveways, and lawns. Additionally, the scope involves furnishing, installing, maintaining, and removing safety devices such as signs, barricades, and flagmen to ensure site safety. The contractor must also examine trees for disease, structural weakness, or hazards and report corrective actions. Payment for services, including incidental repairs, will be based on rates specified in an attached rate sheet (Exhibit B-1).
