General Project Description

The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) is soliciting bids for firms to provide monthly Integrated Pest and Vermin Control Services for the CHP Barstow Area Office. The scope of work includes furnishing all necessary supplies, materials, tools, equipment, labor, personnel, and supervision. Services involve the control and elimination of various pests (e.g., mites, silverfish, ants, spiders, cockroaches, scorpions, fleas) and vermin (e.g., gophers, mice, rats, ground squirrels) both inside and outside the facility. The contractor must use non-chemical or biological odorless/low-odor treatments, progressing to tier-rated herbicides/insecticides if needed. Additional tasks include removing nests and feces mounds with disinfectant, proper disposal of small dead animals, and providing 24-hour call-back services. Work is to be performed after normal business hours, with a 72-hour advance notice for routine services, and requires adherence to strict licensing requirements.
