General Project Description
The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) is seeking bids from qualified firms to provide comprehensive Integrated Pest and Vermin Control Services for the CHP Mountain Pass Resident Post. The successful contractor will furnish all necessary supplies, materials, tools, equipment, labor, personnel, and supervision to provide monthly pest and vermin control. The services cover both interior and exterior outbuildings of the facility, targeting a wide range of pests (e.g., mites, silverfish, ants, spiders, cockroaches, scorpions, fleas) and vermin (e.g., gophers, mice, rats, ground squirrels). The approach prioritizes non-chemical or biological odorless/low-odor treatments, escalating to tier-rated herbicides/insecticides if necessary. The scope also includes the removal of nests and feces, proper disposal of small dead animals, and providing call-back services within 24 hours for emergency needs.
