General Project Description

This project involves providing comprehensive groundskeeping maintenance services at the Joint Forces Training Base (JFTB) in Los Alamitos, California, for a 36-month period (estimated February 2026 through January 2029). The scope includes routine collection and placement of vegetation debris, grass cutting, edging, tree and bush trimming, weeding, and drainage ditch cleaning and maintenance, in accordance with horticulture industry standards and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles. Services cover various areas including Cantonment, Airfield grass and hard surfaces, and Retention Ditch and Road, with specific frequencies ranging from bi-monthly to twice yearly. Pest control, including herbicide application, is a key component, with an emphasis on pesticide reduction following IPM guidelines. Contractor must manage labor, licenses, permits, insurance, transportation, equipment, and materials.
