General Project Description

This project involves the installation of one (1) destratification fan and two (2) mini-split heat pump systems (Carrier Performance Series) at the Hollister National Guard Armory. The contractor will provide all materials, labor, bonds, licenses, insurance, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, and supervision. The work includes ensuring proper placement of indoor and outdoor units, installing necessary refrigerant lines, condensate drains, insulation, supports, accessories per manufacturer guidelines, and electrical work conforming to NEC and local codes. The project also requires commissioning, testing, and balancing of systems, operational training for facility personnel, and protection of existing building surfaces. All work is to be completed within 180 calendar days from the notice to proceed.

Quantity: 1 Unit: LS Work Item: Furnish and install one (1) high-volume, low-speed (HVLS) destratification fan in the drill floor.
Quantity: 2 Unit: EA Work Item: Furnish and install two (2) Carrier Performance Series single-zone mini-split heat pump systems, consisting of indoor and outdoor units.
Quantity: 2 Unit: EA Work Item: Install Indoor Unit MS1-IDU1 to serve Room 3 (approx. 568 sq ft) and MS1-IDU2 to serve Room 1 (approx. 329 sq ft). Verify optimal wall-mounted placement.
Quantity: 2 Unit: EA Work Item: Install Outdoor Unit MS1-ODU to be wall-mounted on the exterior building wall. Verify final placement to optimize refrigerant line runs.
Quantity: 1 Unit: EA Work Item: Install Indoor Unit MS2-IDU to serve Rooms 4 and 4a (combined approx. 460 sq ft). Verify optimal wall-mounted placement.
Quantity: 1 Unit: EA Work Item: Install Outdoor Unit MS2-ODU (model 37MARA, 1-ton, 120V) to be wall-mounted on the exterior building wall. Verify final placement to optimize refrigerant line runs.
Quantity: As required Unit: - Work Item: Provide and install all necessary refrigerant lines, condensate drains, insulation, supports, and accessories per manufacturer guidelines for mini-split systems.
Quantity: As required Unit: - Work Item: Run electrical power from existing sub-panel (120/240V, single-phase, 3-wire) and main panel (120/240V, single-phase, 3-wire) to the outdoor units, complying with current NEC and local codes.
Quantity: As required Unit: - Work Item: Commission, test, and balance both mini-split heat pump systems for heating and cooling performance per manufacturer specifications.
Quantity: As required Unit: - Work Item: Provide startup and operational training for facility personnel for all installed systems and controls (e.g., remote controls or thermostats).
Quantity: As required Unit: - Work Item: Protect existing building surfaces, equipment, and property during installation, minimizing disruptions to armory operations.
