General Project Description

This project involves the construction of an electrical service building in Placer County near Tahoe City at the Tahoe City Maintenance Station. The general scope includes comprehensive building construction elements such as general requirements, field engineering, site work (removing existing facilities, clearing, grubbing, rough grading, earthwork for building work, free draining granular material, guard posts), concrete and reinforcement (cast-in-place concrete), masonry (concrete masonry units), metals (cold formed steel framing), wood and plastics (rough carpentry, pre-engineered wood trusses, finish carpentry), thermal and moisture protection (sheet waterproofing, water repellent coating, insulation, through-penetration firestopping, metal roof and siding, sheet metal flashing, joint sealant, sealants), doors and windows (hollow metal doors and frames, door hardware), finishes (gypsum wallboard, painting), and specialties (louvers, signs, fire extinguishers and cabinets, fire access key box). A complete electrical system, including electrical work, basic materials and methods, electrical equipment, lighting, and a standby generator, is a key component. Ancillary work includes a lead compliance plan, job site management, water pollution control, temporary traffic management, tree removal, soil amendments, planting, plant establishment work, and wood mulch.
