General Project Description

This project involves the construction of truck climbing lanes and the replacement of bridges on State Highway Route 80 in Placer County, California, across various locations. The work includes significant earthwork such as excavation and backfill for roadways and structures, concrete pavement installation and repair, hot mix asphalt paving, various drainage improvements including culverts and pipes, and extensive erosion control measures. Additionally, the project requires temporary traffic control systems, installation and removal of guardrails and barriers, a wide array of signage and pavement markings, and advanced electrical and communication infrastructure, including fiber optic cable systems, roadway weather information systems, camera systems, and changeable message signs.
