Unofficial Notice of Invitation to Bid (NIB)

California State Dept of Transportation (CalTrans) is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, Emergency Generator Service and Repair, identified under Solicitation ID: 11A4238. Work is to be performed near 1727 30th St, Sacramento, CA 95816, USA in Sacramento County.

General Project Description

The project involves providing routine and non-routine maintenance and repair services for 12 stationary generators located at 11 sites across San Diego and Imperial Counties. Routine services will adhere to a set schedule, while non-routine services must be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The contractor must also own, maintain, and keep ready for deployment three 150-kilowatt (kW) 480-volt portable generators. Services include Type I Monthly Standby Electric Set Reliability Tests, Type II Quarterly Visual and Operational Inspections, Type III Annual Lubrication and Maintenance Services, and Annual Fuel Treatment Maintenance. All necessary labor, tools, materials, supplies, equipment, vehicles, travel, incidentals, and disposal/recycling services are to be provided by the contractor.

  • Quantity: 72  Unit: Hour  Work Item: All labor, materials, supplies, tools, equipment, travel, and incidentals necessary to perform non-routine service and/or repairs, per STD 213, Exhibit A, Scope of Work.
  • Quantity: 150  Unit: Hour  Work Item: All labor, materials, supplies, tools, equipment, travel, and incidentals necessary to provide, maintain, and transport one (1) 150-kilowatt (kW) 480-volt portable standby emergency generator, per STD 213, Exhibit A, Scope of Work.
  • Quantity: -  Unit: Each  Work Item: Maximum allowable expenditure for all materials, supplies, parts per Exhibit A, Item 8. This amount shall not exceed $10,000.00 total. Specifications: Actual cost reimbursed based on submitted original receipts.
