Unofficial Notice of Invitation to Bid (NIB)

California State Dept of Transportation (CalTrans) is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, Routine and Non-Routine Generator Services in Alpine County, identified under Solicitation ID: 10A2855. Work is to be performed near 41951 CA-88, Pioneer, CA 95666, USA in Amador County.

General Project Description

This project involves providing routine and non-routine generator maintenance, inspection, and repair services for the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) at two specified locations in Alpine County. The scope includes monthly routine services such as lubrication, cooling system checks (e.g., coolant level, fan belts), fuel system checks (e.g., tank inspection, leak detection), air induction and exhaust system maintenance, electrical system checks (e.g., battery load tests, cable inspection), and engine/alarm verification and testing. Quarterly routine services include replacing air filters, fuel and coolant analysis, load testing, and changing engine oil/filters and fuel filters. The contractor is also responsible for providing consumables (fluids) and materials for replacement. Non-routine services involve immediate repairs outside of scheduled maintenance. Contractors must provide all labor, tools, equipment, machinery, travel, fees, and incidentals.

  • Quantity: 180  Unit: Hourly  Work Item: All labor, tools, equipment, machinery, vehicles, travel, disposal/recycling of waste, and incidentals necessary to provide Non-Routine maintenance and repairs not included in Quarterly or Annual routine service for generators as per Exhibit A, Scope of Work.
  • Quantity: 10% of Subtotal Amount  Unit: LS  Work Item: Maximum allowable expenditure for all parts, materials, supplies, fees, and permits as stated in Exhibit A. Specifications: Actual cost will be reimbursed based on submitted original receipts.
