Unofficial Notice of Invitation to Bid (NIB)
California State Dept of Transportation (CalTrans) is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, Lab Facility Interior Remodel, Fresno County, identified under Solicitation ID: 06A3229. Work is to be performed near 1352 W Olive Ave, Fresno, CA 93728, USA in Fresno County.
General Project Description
This project involves the comprehensive demolition and remodeling of the Caltrans District 6 Lab facility located in Fresno County. The scope of work includes the renovation of one main lab, two bathrooms, and four offices, alongside associated hallway and data panel areas. Key tasks include the removal and disposal of existing counters, sinks, catch basins, bathroom fixtures (sinks, mirrors, urinals, toilets, partitions), wall tiles, and vinyl flooring. New installations will feature straight and L-shape counters with associated cabinetry, stainless steel sinks, faucets, and catch basins. Bathroom remodels will include new fixtures, floor tiling (Epoxy Terrazzo or similar), and wall panels. Flooring in offices and hallways will involve removing existing vinyl and rubber wall base and installing new waterproof vinyl sheet flooring and rubber wall base. A Nvent or equivalent vented enclosure for exposed data and phone wires will be installed, and specified areas of the bathrooms, offices, and hallways will be painted. Additionally, the project requires the replacement of a water drinking fountain and asbestos remediation in the main laboratory, offices, and bathrooms. The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, tools, materials, supplies, equipment, permits, travel, and incidentals.
