General Project Description

The project involves on-call Architectural and Engineering (A&E) consultation, research, professional, and technical services for Caltrans Headquarters Water Quality Services, Division of Environmental Analysis, District 43. The consultant will support Caltrans in developing and updating stormwater guidelines, manuals, procedures, and specifications related to Best Management Practices (BMP) effectiveness, BMP evaluation/development, water quality monitoring, independent quality assurance (IQA), stormwater management plans (SWMP), and stormwater permits regulatory enforcement. The work specifically focuses on ensuring Caltrans' compliance with federal, state, and local water quality regulations, including various NPDES permits and the Caltrans SWMP, and preparing specialized documents such as SWPPP and WPCP templates for planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of transportation facilities.
