General Project Description

This project involves construction work on state highways in Santa Cruz County at various locations on Routes 1, 17, and 129. The general work includes bridge deck polyester concrete overlays and placing Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) Type A. The project also entails extensive traffic control measures, pavement markings, joint seals, electrical system modifications, and environmental stewardship, including removal of hazardous waste (thermoplastic traffic stripe containing lead).
