General Project Description

This project involves various construction services for the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans). The scope primarily includes pavement delineation, minor paving, and modifications to signal and lighting systems on State Highway Routes 1 and 101 in San Luis Obispo County, encompassing areas in and near Morro Bay, and other specific locations. Key tasks range from removing existing pavement markings and installing new thermoplastic pavement markings (e.g., traffic stripes, arrows, "STOP," "SIGNAL," "AHEAD" messages, limit lines, and crosswalks) and retroreflective pavement markers, to performing minor asphalt concrete pavement repairs. The electrical component includes installing and modifying video detection sensors, cabling, signal head backplates, and installing various types of loop detectors. Temporary traffic control is also required to manage lane and ramp closures during construction.
