Unofficial Notice of Invitation to Bid (NIB)

California State Dept of Transportation (CalTrans) is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, Upgrade Fuel Tank, identified under Solicitation ID: 11A4299. Work is to be performed near Chula Vista, CA, USA in San Diego County.

General Project Description

This project involves the upgrade of a bulk fuel tank system at the Chula Vista Maintenance Station in San Diego County. The work includes general construction activities such as removing portions of existing facilities (fuel dispensers, pumps, monitoring equipment, fuel storage tank), rough grading and earthwork for building structures (footings, foundations, slabs, tanks, pipes, conduits), constructing guard posts, installing cast-in-place concrete facilities, and performing all necessary electrical work. The scope also covers comprehensive waste management, adherence to water pollution control measures, including spill prevention and non-stormwater management, and painting/coating various surfaces. The project requires the contractor to supply all labor, materials, equipment, and services for the complete installation and proper operation of the fuel dispensing and electrical systems.
