General Project Description
Caltrans is seeking Statements of Qualifications from qualified firms to provide on-call Structure Construction Engineering and Inspection Services and Construction Contract Administration Services for transportation facility projects within Districts 6 and portions of District 10 (South) across various counties in California. Services will be provided on an "as-needed" basis through Task Orders and include construction engineering, inspection, general contract administration, change order management, claims resolution support, final construction estimates, and project reporting. Key responsibilities involve ensuring compliance with Caltrans standards, conducting field inspections, performing materials testing, reviewing contractor submittals (e.g., shop drawings, work plans), and preparing required project documentation. Excluded services encompass hydraulic, traffic, environmental, new/retrofit structural design, geotechnical, most material testing, land surveying, right-of-way engineering, water quality, visual impact, value analysis, landscape architecture, and Information Technology related activities.
