General Project Description
Caltrans is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified firms for an On-Call Material Engineering and Testing Services (METS) contract within District 59 of California. This contract will provide Quality Management Assessment (QMA) services on an "as-needed" basis to support Caltrans and local agencies on proposed transportation facilities. The scope includes verification, inspection, sampling, and materials testing for structural materials at fabrication facilities and construction sites. The consultant will prepare analytical results, plans, designs, specifications, and various reports, ensure proper Quality Assurance (QA) measures are in place, comply with state and federal regulations, and provide oversight through periodic audits.
