California State Dept of Transportation (CalTrans) is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, FOR CONSTRUCTION ON STATE HIGHWAY IN SANTA BARBARA COUNTY AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS FROM 0.3 MILE EAST OF ROUTES 101/154 SEPARATION TO 1.4 MILES WEST OF ROUTES 154/192 SEPARATION, identified under Solicitation ID: Contract No. 05-1K5204. Work is to be performed near Santa Barbara County, CA, USA in Santa Barbara County.
General Project Description
This project involves construction on State Highway 154 in Santa Barbara County. The general work includes steel culvert liner installation, repair, replacement, and installation of various drainage items. The scope detailed in the bid items indicates extensive earthwork (clearing, grubbing, imported borrow), erosion and sediment control measures (hydraulic mulch, fiber rolls, check dams, stormwater pollution prevention), and temporary creek diversion systems. Structural work includes concrete culverts, box culverts, headwalls, retaining walls, bar reinforcing steel, and galvanic anodes for cathodic protection. The project also covers pavement maintenance (hot mix asphalt, tack coat), sign structures, guardrail systems, cable railings, pavement markers, and comprehensive temporary traffic control systems utilizing signs, attenuators, radar speed feedback, and automated flagger assistance. Electrical work includes traffic monitoring stations and changeable message sign systems. All mobilization and job site management activities are included.
