General Project Description

This project involves construction on State Highway in Kern County, near Buttonwillow. The general work description includes cold planing asphalt concrete pavement, applying Hot Mix Asphalt (Type A) and Rubberized Hot Mix Asphalt -Gap Gradation (bonded wearing course). The scope also encompasses various associated tasks such as traffic control, placement of temporary and permanent traffic control devices (signs, markers, rumble strips), shoulder backing, asphaltic emulsion application, street sweeping, removal of concrete pavement and existing pavement markers, and electrical work for modifying traffic monitoring stations (including cables, conductors, and detectors). The work is to be completed within 45 working days.
