California State Dept of Transportation (CalTrans) is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, Construction on State Highway in Tulare County in and near Woodlake from Cypress Avenue (North) to Route 198, identified under Solicitation ID: 06-1J0104. Work is to be performed near 1120 N St, Sacramento, CA 95814, USA in Sacramento County.
General Project Description
This project involves pavement maintenance and improvements on a segment of State Highway in Tulare County (Route 216) near Woodlake, specifically from Cypress Avenue (North) to Route 198. The primary work includes hot mix asphalt (Type A) paving, polymer asphaltic emulsion, and aggregate (seal coat applications). Additional work items comprise lead compliance, establishment of construction area signs and traffic control systems, temporary impact attenuation, automated flagger assistance, job site management, water pollution control, temporary drainage inlet protection, street sweeping, removal of existing thermoplastic traffic stripes and pavement markings (hazardous waste), placement of shoulder backing and sand cover, and installation of new thermoplastic pavement markings and reflective markers. The project also includes furnishing and installing roadside signs, cold planing asphalt concrete pavement, and modifying traffic monitoring stations (electrical systems work). Traffic control measures, materials management, and environmental stewardship are key components.
