General Project Description

This project involves construction on state highways in Calaveras and San Joaquin Counties, District 10, specifically on Routes 4, 5, 26, 88, and 99. The general scope includes placing polyester concrete overlay, structural approach slabs, and Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA). Key work items also involve a Lead Compliance Plan, time-related overhead, construction area signs, traffic control systems (including stationary impact attenuator vehicles and portable changeable message signs), job site management, water pollution control, street sweeping, and bird exclusion devices. Asbestos surveying, sampling, and analysis, along with the removal and management of asbestos-containing construction materials (ACCM) in bridges, are mandatory. The project also addresses bridge deck work (grinding, treating with material, painting identification), various types of pavement markers and traffic striping (thermoplastic and tape), rumble strips, and maintaining existing traffic management system elements. Mobilization is also included.
