General Project Description

This project involves construction on the State Highway in Humboldt County at various locations on Routes 101 and 299. The general work includes preparing bridge deck surfaces, placing polyester concrete overlays, and placing Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA). Key activities also encompass implementing lead compliance and water pollution control plans, managing job sites, installing and maintaining construction area signs, traffic control systems, various impact attenuator vehicles, portable radar speed feedback signs, and changeable message signs. Pavement work includes cold planing asphalt concrete, cleaning and sealing expansion joints, concrete patching, and extensive bridge deck preparation and treatment. Delineators and pavement markers are to be installed, and existing traffic stripes are to be removed and new 6-inch traffic stripe tape (with and without contrast, broken and solid) installed under warranty.
