General Project Description

This project involves cold planing existing asphalt concrete pavement and placing Rubberized Hot Mix Asphalt (Gap Graded) with 10% RAP and Hot Mix Asphalt (Type A), along with various Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) dig outs, on State Highway in Tulare County near Delano, from the Kern County Line to 0.1 mile south of Avenue 56. The work also includes temporary traffic control, preparing a lead compliance plan, job site management, water pollution control, street sweeping, shoulder backing, asphaltic emulsion application, data core installation, retroreflective pavement markers, furnishing and installing single sheet aluminum signs and roadside sign panels, thermoplastic pavement markings (enhanced wet night visibility), rumble strip installation (asphalt concrete pavement), maintaining existing traffic management system elements, and modifying signal, lighting, and traffic monitoring systems including cables, conductors, and detectors.
