General Project Description

This project involves the construction of traffic calming measures at various intersections, including one traffic circle, along with comprehensive sewer and water improvements throughout the Barrio Neighborhood. The scope includes mobilization, excavation, asphalt concrete paving, concrete curb and gutter installation, ADA curb ramp construction, slurry seal application, concrete pads, retaining curbs, AC raised crosswalks, decorative wall installation, trench drain and U-channel installation, landscape and irrigation system setup, electrical equipment and materials installation for Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFB) and Pedestrian Push Button (PPB) poles, traffic striping and signage, trench resurfacing, and the removal and abandonment of existing sewer and water main facilities. The work also entails asbestos cement pipe testing and removal, installation of new PVC water mains and various gate valves, water main connections, temporary highlines, and temporary ACP end caps.
