General Project Description
The City of Carlsbad is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide As-Needed Maintenance Services for surveying and remediating concrete sidewalk trip hazards between ¼” and 2” throughout the City. The scope includes identifying, measuring, and tracking trip hazards, with remediation by mechanical slicing or shaving to meet ADA compliance (1:12 slope, smooth uniform appearance, minimum 0.6 coefficient of friction). The project also requires dust control measures to prevent airborne dust or entry into storm drains, site cleanup, and protection of adjacent landscaping and utilities. The contract term is for three years with two one-year extension options.
