Santa Clarita Valley Water Agency is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, RECYCLED WATER CONVERSION IN PHASE 2B PROJECT AREA: FAIR OAKS PARK AND CITY MEDIANS, identified under Solicitation ID: 2501034. Work is to be performed near 27234 Bouquet Canyon Rd, Santa Clarita, CA 91350, USA in Los Angeles County.
General Project Description
This project involves the conversion of existing irrigation systems at Fair Oaks Park (located at 17468 Honey Maple St., 91387) and City Medians (Lost Canyon Rd. Medians, between Wren Dr. and Metrolink Rail Crossing past Medley Ridge Rd., 91387) from potable water supply to recycled water supply for irrigation purposes. The scope of work includes connecting recycled water, disconnecting existing potable water supplies, removing existing irrigation backflow preventers, and installing new wye-strainers, isolation valves, pressure regulators in below-grade boxes. Additionally, the project requires the construction of permanent recycled water identification signs and tags, installation of pipes and associated appurtenances, concrete mow curbs, and concrete pads as physical barriers. The contractor is responsible for coordinating with the Santa Clarita Valley Water Agency, the Engineer, and the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (LACDPH) for inspections, cross-connection testing, and ensuring proper site restoration, including vegetation.
