General Project Description

The City of Chino Hills is seeking proposals for tree removal services focused on declining Eucalyptus trees within the Hickory Creek area. The project involves the complete removal of hardwood trees, including stump grinding to flush with the ground/grade, with stumps remaining in place. The contractor is responsible for the removal and offsite disposal of all generated debris, branches, chips, and grinding materials, maintaining a safe work area, and repairing any damaged private property or restoring native vegetation. Additionally, the contractor must comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws, including prevailing wage requirements (certified payroll is required), National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) requirements, and wildlife protection. The contractor is also responsible for notifying Underground Service Alert and securing all necessary permits related to utilities. Pre-work bird nest/wildlife surveys and coordination with the City's Contract Biologist are required before work proceeds in sensitive areas.
