Unofficial Notice of Invitation to Bid (NIB)

Chino Hills City is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, SKATE PARK ENHANCEMENT PROJECT, identified under Solicitation ID: PK23010. Work is to be performed near 16333 Fairfield Ranch Rd, Chino Hills, CA 91709, USA in San Bernardino County.

General Project Description

This project involves the rehabilitation and enhancement of the Chino Hills Skate Park. The scope includes concrete bowl repairs, the installation of new beginner skating features, painting, seating areas, and other user enhancements. Specific tasks include demolishing existing concrete features (e.g., marked with a red X on Exhibit A) and replacing them, removing parking lot light standard foundations and metal signposts, and legally disposing of all removed components. New concrete features (approximately 2,000 sq ft) will be constructed using a minimum of 5-inch thick #4000 concrete with #4 bars at 12-inch on center for skating expansion areas. This includes an 8-inch by 8-inch tapered curb (approx. 15 ft length) with two #5 bars, and a "Slappy Curb" feature (96" L x 24" W x 6" H). Sections B and C will utilize a minimum of 4-inch thick #3250 concrete with #4 bars at 24-inch on center. Additionally, fence repairs and painting (approx. 215 linear feet) are required, involving replacement of missing components, re-welding, sanding, wire brushing, and painting all fencing surfaces with Dunn Edwards Direct to Metal paint in black. Temporary 6-foot chain-link screened security fencing must be installed around the work and material storage areas. All work must comply with the current California Building Code and Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction.
