General Project Description
The City of Chino Hills is seeking a contractor to provide tree planting and seeding services for the Hickory Creek Grant Tree Planting Project. The project involves planting 66 native trees and seeding 32,006 square feet of bare areas. The scope includes pre-planting and seeding activities for ground preparation, complete installation of trees with watering basins, stakes, and ties, and seeding installation. The contract also requires a two-year maintenance period for the newly planted areas, including watering, electronic logging of maintenance activities, periodic inspections (6-month and 1-year), and replacement of non-performing or dead trees at the contractor's expense. The contractor is responsible for green waste and refuse disposal, identifying and securing necessary permits, coordinating with the City's Contract Biologist for wildlife protection, and adhering to specific standards for tree care operations and nursery stock.
